Endless Brake Pads

Q: Do Endless brake pads make a lot of noise?
A: Generally, Endless brake pads do not create a lot of noise. Of course, this depends on the type of compound. For track enthusiasts whom use pads strictly for high performance reasons, brake noise is usually the least of their concerns. Thus, Endless also develops compounds that may sacrifice louder noise levels for increased performance characteristics. Please keep in mind that most aftermarket brake pad compounds normally produce more noise than stock pads. For most street and light-track type driving enthusiasts, we've had no problems regarding braking noise levels.

Q: Do Endless brake pads produce a lot of dust?
A: Generally, Endless brake pads do not create a lot of dust. Once again, this depends on the type of compound. For example, the Type NA-M brake pad contains no steel fibers and is our “zero dust” compound. Regardless, it is always recommended to check the brake pad and clean the wheel area with a dry cloth periodically. For most street and light-track type driving enthusiasts, we've had no problems regarding brake dust levels amongst all of our compounds offered. Keep in mind some dust free pads on the market are not exactly dust free, beware.

Q: How long do Endless brake pads last?
A: Generally, most aftermarket brake pads will not last as long as stock pads. Compared to stock pads, a good estimate would be about 1/2 ~ 2/3 the life of a stock brake pad depending on driving conditions. Once again, this really depends on your driving environment and conditions.

Q: What will happen if I use a high-performance compound on the street?
A: Always make sure to use the appropriate compound for appropriate driving conditions. By using a high performance circuit compound on the street, you not only possibly cause unnecessary damage to your rotors, but you will also not experience the correct friction response because each compound is specific to appropriate rotor temperatures. Do not jeopardize your safety by believing that a more expensive brake pad will always work best. Different compounds are produced specifically for different driving situations.

Q: What does the temperature range stand for?
A: The temperature stand for the most efficient temperature working range Endless brake pads will perform. In Endless brake pad’s temperature are not calculated on the temperature of the pads it self but on the disc rotor temperature. Temperature is analysis on the disc rotor because brake pads are often hotter than the rotor, thus the temperature that Endless brake pads can take will be beyond the temperature on the disc rotor.

Q: How do I know which compound to choose?
A: Endless compounds are broken down into 3 categories: Non-Asbestos, Ceramic Carbon Metal, and Semi-Metallic MAtador series. For beginners, street, and light track use, our Non-Asbestos series is recommended. If you are unsure of what type of compound to use for closed-course circuit driving, please ask for assistance. With your vehicle information, lap distances, lap times and course type, as well as other pertinent information, we will be able to recommend the correct compound for your driving needs.

Q: What sort of temperature range is suitable for my application?
A: As for normal street driving and heavy street driving the brake rotor temperature will not be exceeding beyond 500ºC. However as for racing brake rotor temperature can stay as high as 800ºC and beyond. For further detail please refer to our brake pads line-up.

Q: Is it okay to use Endless brake pads with stock rotors or other aftermarket rotors?
A: Yes it is okay. Please make sure to always resurface used rotors before installation of new pads. This is recommended so that the wear is progressively even and surface area of friction is maximized. Some after market rotor however are not made up to the OEM standard may have problems.

Q: Is it okay to use Endless brake pads ONLY in the front?
A: Yes, it is okay. Of course, we recommend using both front and rear, but many drivers use only front Endless brake pads and usually end up changing the front more frequently due to faster wear. Using only front Endless brake pads is perfectly fine.

Q: What kind of tires should I use with my pads?
A: Generally, non-asbestos pads should be used with radial tires. Ceramic Carbon metal pads should be used with semi-slick tires. For further detail please refer to our brake pads lineup.

Q: What should I do when I receive my Endless brake pads?
A: Always make sure to read the safety instructions contained in the box and always make sure installation is performed by a Certified Technician.

Endless Caliper systems

Q: Do Endless Caliper Systems make a lot of noise?
A: This really depends on the compound and vehicle. In Japan, driving enthusiasts tend to like the screeching brake noise and may try to purposely produce this type of noise. We've had instances in which our kits create noise and instances in which they don't. Our street compound pads create less noise than our circuit compound pads. But please understand our kits are produced under N1 & JGTC specifications for racing purposes so expect some noise regardless!

Q: Are calipers and rotors directional?
A: Yes, calipers are directional. The easiest way to make sure caliper installation is correct is by making sure brake line valve outlets face upward. Zeal Straight-6 rotors are also directional. Always make sure a qualified technician views all instructions and installs directional rotors correctly.

Q: Will an Endless kit clear my wheel?
A: An Endless Big Brake Safety Kit will most likely not fit your stock factory wheel. 4POT wheels will need 16" or larger wheels. 6POT wheels will need 17" or larger wheels. Please note that this is not always the case and that wheel size and offset are not the only determinants. Many times, the wheel design will justify clearance. This website contains a Pitch Circle Diameter chart and data for information to help determine clearance. Be aware spacers may be necessary in some cases.

Q: Are Endless kits bolt-on?
A: Yes, Endless Big Brake Safety Kits are direct bolt-on kits. In some circumstances, it may be necessary to trim the brake dust shield, but generally speaking, Endless kits are a direct bolt-on.

Q: Is it necessary to bleed the brakes after installing an Endless Big Brake Safety Kit?
A: Yes, it is. Make sure a qualified technician bleeds the brakes correctly by alternating between right and left brake caliper valves.

Q: Does Endless offer rear kits?
A: In 2003, Endless has begun offering rear RACING caliper kits starting with the Nissan Skyline. Other vehicle applications are currently under research and development.

Zeal Coil-over Suspension Systems

Q: What are the benefits of a coil over system?
A: The adjustability of the rebound/compression, “preload” spring tension, as well as specific pressure settings help to create maximized performance. By developing this type of system, we are able to also “tune” our systems for prolonged use.

Q: Are Zeal systems stiff?
A: Engineers and professional drivers collaborate to produce a track system with “street drivable” qualities. Some of our systems are meant for closed-course circuit use, such as the Super Function. Generally, our systems have a very solid feel. It is a very different feel from the factory suspension set up.

Q: Do Zeal systems need to be assembled?
A: No. All Zeal systems come preassembled at the recommended driving height level.

Q: Do Zeal systems make a lot of noise?
A: Generally speaking, no they do not. Please understand that most coil over systems may create some indistinguishable noises in the upper mount area. Certain applications such as those with “pillow ball upper mounts” tend to create more noise due to the metal-on-metal construction.

Q: Can I order my Zeal suspension system kit with different spring rates than the ones listed?
A: The Endless Racing Team tests the Zeal suspension system kits on the circuit and then produces the kits with specific characteristics in mind. Although we do not encourage using different spring rates other than the street and/or circuit hard rates, Zeal kits can be ordered with custom rates upon request before purchase. This may delay the arrival time of your order. A service fee may be required due to possible attenuation of pressure setting.
